I am the station manager of Independence Television, a community access station, responsible for technology and budgeting at the station. I have been at ITV for 8 years, prior to that I worked freelance on live broadcasts as a technical director and editor. I most recently consolidated equipment by implementing a fiber network. This consolidation simplified the training of our staff on equipment and saved the station significant expense.
I am proud of my troubleshooting abilities and am known for coming up with creative fixes on the fly. I have an in-depth understanding of how a television studio functions and have been tasked with technical problem solving as the inevitable glitches occur. I have implemented new technologies including installing wireless camera transmitters to streamline operations. I maintain 20 edit machines and provide network storage for those machines. Over the last several years I have enjoyed combining my engineering abilities with my TV production skills. I graduated in 2013 as a film major with a BA in television and film production from Wayne State University. I reside in Southfield, Michigan.
